remember me? well, I'm back, sort of...

heh, Remember Man-Ray?

...well, it lives @ TT's: Heroes Night

no, John was not spinning there...

So, Saturday night we descended upon TT the Bear's "Heroes" night, an extension of the nights that used to occur at ManRay's. ManRay's was Boston's premier goth-gay club & hosted all kinds of nights from bondage to post-punk new-wave dance nights. It also had lilve shows from Laibach to Peter Murphy to Nirvana & more...A sad loss back in 2005, but Skye was able to catch it in its moribund descent (ascent?) towards demolition for, yep you guessed it, condos. Anyhow, yours truly was essentially a beer-holding purse stand, as the ladies got down on the dance floor while '80s movie & video clips played on-stage. Towards the end, I slipped out to find Mike & Jesse in the Middle-East, but was dragged into ZuZu by staff offering a free PBR, to see John Funke beating the Soul-le-lu-jah dancers into groovy submission...The end of the night saw the crowds ooze simultaneously from the clubs onto the streets & beyond...

...oh, and I have to say

We definitely tore it up Friday
@ the "Mully 'Fro-Down"
soulful tunes & funky beats
filled the rafters of a packed Independent
with djMully, djToblerone & selecter70
...Giddy Up!

After a couple pints at Charlie's Beer Garden, I met up with Skye at Shay's to take in the disappearing rays of sunshine. Mully & crew rolled in and we thereupon let the fine brews ease our souls, listening to Toby's undying lust for Sarah (back from FL -&- in her old element @Shay's). We decided to reconvene at Heroes' Night, TT the Bear's resusicitation of the old ManRay '80s new wave-punk-goth night...

hmmm....

gotta fix that edit function...screwing text up!

& then again...

And then again, the lovely weather of Fall ushers us back outside to enjoy an Octoberfest proper & people watch the afternoon away...That is, before meeting up with folks in Harvard Square!

...relaxing about

ah, the grim
grey days of October have spread their wet blanket upon us. We retreat inside .
