So the summer does go on, even with school back in full gear. The weather has been great & we have been able to steal som fun around town! I dj'ed to a full house on Friday, primarily another more early reggae-focused night...Fridays will be tough this Fall, 9-5 job, teaching a night class & then dj'ing!...at least Skye let me sleep well in on Saturday as she erranded around town. Sadly, though, some of the hurricane's outcast offspring came to visit & rained out the day. We made the best with wine & NetFlix. Sunday was the Rock'n Roll Yard Sale in Union Square, one of the weekly festivals that Union Square has been hosting. Union has steadily become a contender with Davis as the center of Somerville's art community, with these events (pictured: the R&R Yard Sale -&- a music/art show with live bands performing in front of televised art & tvs in rows with music videos). In addition, a weekly farmer's market, new pubs (Precinct & McDuff's), fantastic food and cafes, have made Union a place to go to...And, of course, the famous Fluff Festival (touting the marvels of this Union Square invention) comes on the 27th...and the Green Line is scheduled to make a permanent stop in 2010...we shall see!
